AIK Ltd Membership Levels To apply for Membership at any level, please click on the 'Application for Membership Form' button below and you will be taken to an online application form. Please complete the form and upload supporting documentation. Payment can be made by credit card, a receipt will be sent to your registered email address. Once your form has been submitted and payment has been made, you will receive an email confirming submission of your application. You will receive another confirmation email once your application has been approved by the AIK Ltd. Please direct any queries to info@aik.org.au.
AIK Ltd Membership Levels and Membership requirements are as follows (effective as of Jan 2018):
1. Associate / Associate Professional Member A member who may hold qualifications in associated supportive professional fields including Medicine, Dentistry, Physical Therapies, Counselling, Naturopathy, Nutritionist, Psychology, Remedial Massage, Clinical Hypnotherapists, Information Technology, Law, Business Management etc. This membership level is also available to members who have retired or semi retired as a clinical practitioner in Kinesiology. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is not entitled to vote. 2. Student Member
A member who is currently studying Kinesiology with an accredited AIK Ltd training organisation. This membership is not available for a person who has established kinesiology qualifications such as a Certificate in Kinesiology. Student members are required to provide a current First Aid Certificate. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is not entitled to vote. 3. Standard Member
A member who has completed Kinesiology qualifications and are in the process of operating a clinical practice and may be furthering their qualifications. This membership level is not recognised by Health Funds. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. 4. Registered Member
A member who has obtained a Cert IV in Kinesiology or equivalent (eg Modality Owners accredited courses). Please note AIK Ltd acknowledges that courses will have more hours than required or combination of hours required per the separate sectors. Must be operating a clinical practice. This membership level is entitled to hold a position on NE Board if elected. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. 5. Registered Professional Member
A member who has obtained a Diploma in Kinesiology or equivalent (eg Modality Owners accredited courses). Please note AIK Ltd acknowledges that courses will have more hours than required or combination of hours required per the separate sectors. Must be operating a clinical practice and could be eligible for Health Fund recognition as per the Health Fund Bylaws and Agreement with AIK Ltd. This membership level is entitled to hold a position on NE Board if elected. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. 6. Registered Specialist Professional Member
A member who has obtained an Advanced Diploma in Kinesiology or equivalent (eg Modality Owners accredited courses). Please note AIK Ltd acknowledges that courses will have more hours than required or combination of hours required per the separate sectors. Must be operating a clinical practice and could be eligible for Health Fund recognition as per the Health Fund Bylaws and Agreement with AIK Ltd. This membership level is entitled to hold a position on NE Board if elected. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. 7. Associate Fellow Member
A member who has obtained an Advanced Diploma in Kinesiology or equivalent (eg Modality Owners accredited courses). Please note AIK Ltd acknowledges that courses will have more hours than required or combination of hours required per the separate sectors. May be operating a clinical practice and could be eligible for Health Fund recognition as per the Health Fund Bylaws and Agreement with AIK Ltd. This member must have held a Registered Professional Membership Level with the AIK Ltd for 5 continuous years as a minimum. They must have held at least one NE Board position for one full year at the level of President, Secretary or Treasurer. The member must have published a minimum of 3 articles published in the E-Indicator or it's equivalent and have presented at AIK Ltd Conference. This membership level is entitled to hold a position on NE Board if elected. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. 8. Fellow Member The membership level is appointed by the National Executive Board of the AIK Ltd and must have been an Associate Fellow Member for 5 years. This membership level is entitled to hold a position on NE Board if elected. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. 9. Life / Honorary Member The membership level is appointed by the National Executive Board of the AIK Ltd. This membership level is entitled to hold a position on NE Board if elected. This member is awarded support from the AIK Ltd, free listing on the AIK Ltd Practitioner Directory, and a copy of the E-Indicator and E-News. This membership level is entitled to voting rights. |
